I'm an enthusiastic amateur researcher into the authorship of the works of Shakespeare and the life and times of Elizabeth 1st. Two years ago a publication called Breaking The Shakespeare Codes suggested that the illegitimate son of Elizabeth and Sir Robert
Dudley was the author.
For some time I followed this theory but conducted my own research. In the cousre of it I am now convinced of two things. ER and Dudley did produce a son. But it was William Shakespeare who is the author and the Bard. Michael's extraordinary work on Barnfield holds they keys to the authorship crown jewels, in my opinion.
I would like to contribute (if I can) the results of some of my work in supporting the assertion that WS is indeed the Bard. The anti Stratfordian 'Usual Suspects' proponents have missed (deliberately ignored) many telling facts in their zeal to promote their favoured candidate. Amongst the most bizarre being the assertion that Edward DeVere was the son of ER and Seymour!
In tandem with this I hope to also contribute to clarifying the identity of ER and Dudley's son. As a seperate but related theme, it is fascinating to read the evidence for this and to attempt to rebuild this man's career.
Thanks for reading!
