No known likeness is available.(1575-159-???) He was an Oxford Scholar who I believe was personally known by Richard Barnfield . The author of Willobie his Avisa states that he knows him well.. It can be demonstrated that Henry Willobie and Richard Barnfield were at Oxford university at the same time. Henry Willobie is forwarded as the author of Willobie his Avisa . But I don't believe this . . The "editor" of Willobie His Avisa - Hadrian Dorrell openly admits that he has attributed authorship of the libel to Henry Willobie's , Without Willobies knowledge or consent.
I think Henry Willobie had nothing to do with this libel and would not have been able to shed any light on the libel in real life.
Henry Willobie was used simply because he had the same set on initials as Henry Wriothesley. If the libeler was ever caught he could simply argue that he was making up an imaginary story about a university friend rather than libeling high powered aristocrats.
